I dont know if Business Shopper is going to be the permanent name of this blog but for now, I think it signifies a direction for me.
Its called Business Shopper because I'm a business major who loves to shop a lot.
Somehow between Principles of Microeconomics, Managerial Accounting, shirt store, shoe store, dress store and lest I forget Business Law, I seem to have become some kind of snobbish b-schooling shopper from hell who expects too much from store management. I walk into every store expecting A list customer service, speedy checkout lines, decently dressed staff and good prices. I am afterall the customer, mgt should be glad I'm choosing to spend my hard earned money there.
The problem is pretty simple, I go to class everyday and learn about all this stuff, how to make a business work, how to make the customer happy, how happy customers are the key to success and I love it!! Then I go shopping and more than half of the time find myself thinking, why is no one implementing any of this. Why is the lady chatting on the phone about her co-workers hair extensions while I'm in line waiting to pay for my purchases???
I dont know if I'm expecting too much or the retail industry is on downward spiral, but I know that customer satisfaction is low.
So this blog is about my experiences and observations as a seasoned shopper accessorized with economics and other things biz related.
I am the Business Shopper, please read my blog!!!!
Business Shopper: A mix of business, shopping and retail. I really dont know how original it is but I guess it will have to do for now.
Business Major: I am a junior accounting major.
A lot: yes shopping is my favorite recreational activity and window shopping does count.
b-schooing shopper from hell: looks good in red, just like pumps.
hard earned: so what if my income is supplemented by mom, I'm in college!!!
purchases: This particular store did not in fact stock hair extensions, I had to go elsewhere for that.
